Health Information Management
As a vital member of the Fairfield Memorial Hospital (FMH) health care team, the Health Information Management (HIM) Department is dedicated to serving as advocates for privacy and confidentiality of personal health information. The HIM Department improves the quality of health care by insuring that the best information possible is available to make healthcare decisions.
The HIM Department at FMH is an integral part of the business, science, and information technology required to serve the hospital, our patients, caregivers, and regulating agencies. The department's diverse team consists of experts in processing, analyzing, and reporting vital information to the health care industry. Our staff members interact daily with the clinical, administrative, and financial staff all of whom depend on health information to perform their jobs.
Personal Health Information is released and stored in accordance with state and federal laws. Patients have the right to review or, for a fee, receive copies of their personal health records. There is a fee for copies of personal health records however this fee may be waived if records have been requested by your physician.
Department Hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
