FMH Foundation funds AED Plus for Hospital

FMH Foundation has funded a state-of- the-art ZOLL AED Plus with Real CPR Help ® for Fairfield Memorial Hospital staff to help treat cardiac arrest. The portable automatic external defibrillator (AED) device features a unique CPR feedback tool that is able to monitor CPR quality and provide real-time feedback for depth and rate of chest compressions. It includes unique features of audio and visual prompts to help responders keep track of time and compressions during use. When sudden cardiac arrest occurs, the fact is that only half of the victims will need a shock by an AED, but all will require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

“FMH Foundation is pleased to be able to fund items such as the AED Plus to improve the health of our community,” said Mike Quinn.

“With community support we continue making a difference in Fairfield County.”
